Explore Western Canada's largest collection of heritage locomotives and railcars. The West Railway Heritage Park experience starts with free parking, washrooms, ticketing/guest service and a Gift Shop. Your self-guided tour will take you back in time through vintage railcars dating to 1890, building from the early 20th century and artifacts exhibits but also steam and diesel locomotives from the mid-century era. In addition to our outdoor experiences, the newly build 21000sq-ft Roundhouse can provide opportunities for events, conferences and is the home of one of BC best heritage steam locomotive the 2860 ROYAL HUDSON. Also available is our most popular attraction: the MINI RAIL. Take a 20 mins ride on our 3 km long tracks around the site, the whole family will love it!! The Heritage Park is the perfect place to wonder around beautiful restored heritage pieces for individuals, family and groups of all sizes and ages

Nice museum. One of the largest locomotives in the world on display along with several other train cars such as a dining and sleeping car. The building you walk through to get to some of the exhibits is an actual roundhouse that was used to...More

With the selection of exhibits this should have been a wonderful museum. Descriptions of exhibits were of poor quality, if not non-existant. The whole place needed a good going over and a tidy up. Such a shame as the exhibits themselves are exceptional. I just...More

A really interesting museum to spend a couple of hours, especially if you like trains. I think full price entry is a bit expensive for what they have but for Canada's 150th birthday, entry is half price which made it good value. The social history...More

Lots of train cars, lots of Canadian history as well - the park is maintained by people who worked on trains and love them. There's a mini-train that one can take around the park (great for kids!) and many train cars to explore - including...More

Off the beat and track (pardon my pun) is a collection of old steamers to modern time trains. They are well kept and enjoyable for all to view inside and out. They even have a small train (like in Stanley Park) that will take you...More
