Shannon Falls is definitely worth a stop enroute to Whistler or to the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish. It’s about a 10 minute hike to the falls through a natural wooded trail.

Handy tip. Don't panic if the car park is full as you can park at the parking for the Sea to Sky gondola and walk via a lovely wooded walk between both attractions!
The walk for the actual falls only takes 20 mins.

I was at Shannon Falls back in June and from memory, it looked that you would be able to have a BBQ in the car park but there is isn't anywhere up by the falls - you would probably get a lot of spray on you... More
