Parksville Museum is a wonderful venue for exploring the history of the local area. The group of historic buildings, including a church, have been relocated to the museum area, creating a village circle as one would have seen in the past. They have some great displays of items that were once everyday items in the Oceanside area, an interesting look... More

If your looking for an afternoon of artifacts and interesting facts than the Parksville Museum delivers. A beautiful setting and lots of history about our Oceanside area. In the summer months they also have a farmers market on a Friday night. A good time had by all.

The museum has free admission. All the little tiny buildings were moved from their original location. Kids learned a lot from "seeing" and they are able to touch some stuff. We also went there on Friday afternoon when they had the farmer's market!

So I was looking around Parksville for something to do while my car was in the shop. And I see there's a history museum here! Right up my alley though. So I drop in and ended up spending a good 3 hours there where staff would even occasionally drop by for additional details on displays! Anyhow one of the best... More

Very nice feel to what use to be with a blacksmith working, people marketing their wares including jewellery made with copper, produce, arts and crafts. Had to leave as I was spending too much money! hahaha

This museum is so close to the resorts and, although it didn't look like much from driving by, it is actually a fantastic museum that kept my young son and I busy exploring for two hours! Reasonable entrance fee and parking lot around the back. On my son's request, we came back the next day! There's an old fire hall... More

On Friday's, there is a great little Farmer's Market. It is complete with Historic Buildings, Artisan Booths, Food Trucks, and Live Music. The Market runs from 5-8pm, Fridays from May through October. We were able to look through all the exhibits, watch a potter, a blacksmith, and then enjoy some delicious local foods. Thanks to the wonderful volunteers for letting... More

Come to the Museum on a Friday night from May til about October and there will be a farmer's market on. All the exhibits are available, but the local vendors make it extra special.

It is a fun place to visit. Very educational showing how people lived in the Parksville area. Schoolhouse, a Home, church, etc.
