We were looking for help for a local walk and the ladies were all very helpful and informative about the local area and the history of the buildings including the Baillie House. We were given coffee and a piece of pumpkin pie cake which was lovely. There were also local gifts and vintage items that you could purchase. Visiting here... More

A great stop for any age. You can learn the history of the property, as well get a tour of the house! There are many nicknacks for sale and you even get a complimentary drinks (iced tea is my favorite) when you stop in. Friendly staff and the property is well maintained.

We stopped by for some direction, as we were right outside geocaching on the Gold Country geotour. Ballie House is a stop on the tour...unfortunately, the cache was missing! We did find the ziplock bag though, with the all important code. Staff were very helpful and we had lunch nearby. We didn't take the tour, but seeing the house was... More

Stopped in Merritt enroute to Kamloops. Arrived at the property near noon. Asked for a tour only to be told, fellow staff member was on lunch, we would have to wait. We went for lunch only to come back to find that now this staff member needed lunch! We didn't wait, no tour unfortunately.

This is our 3rd time visiting the Baillie House info centre. It is very welcoming. Coffee, tea, lemonade, sometime sandwiches and home made cookies, sometimes veggies from someone's garden. Ice cream for sale. A great place to enjoy your lunch in the garden. A great place to shop and explore in the basement. Did I mention the free tour available.... More

We stopped at Subway across the street and brought the launch on over and enjoyed it at there property. There are picnic tables, a fantastic garden and more then welcoming staff. The history here is a great learning experience. Be sure to... More

After an unpleasant visit to the visitors center on the highway 97/ coquihalla junction it was a nice change to have knowledgeable professional staff help us and give us tonnes of information on the valley, they should really be training all the info center staff, Thanks for the pleasant visit !! :)

Even though there were no free coffee and tea while we were there on May long weekend as the previous reviewers mentioned, it was a very good place to learn/see history of a family of Merritt. The guide was super helpful and she explained very well about the property.
