Kicking Horse has attracted rave reviews after just seven seasons for its awesome vertical, deep powder and spectacular terrain mix. With an express gondola accessing over 4100 ft (1260m) of vertical, you’re bound to ski and ride an impressive feat of terrain comparable to only that of heli-skiing. Coupled with summer activities such as mountain biking, wildlife education, and alpine sightseeing, this is a place where the stories are almost too tall to believe.

My husband and I moved here for the winter to snowboard. I signed up online for the season long, weekly lessons. It did not ask for skiing or snowboarding, so I assumed it didn't matter. When I showed up for the first lesson, I was...More

Long runs, feels like you spend more of your day on the hill than in lines for the gondola and lifts. Which is different than most other resorts I find. Great hill. We love it here.

We have been trying out different resorts for two weeks. We are two experienced adults and the intermediate kids aged 9,12 and 14. Kicking Horse was nice and had opportunities for both steep slopes and forest skiing. The gondola is the only was to get...More

Being someone who grew up on the coast and having lived in the city, the opportunity to go on a ski hill never arose until this past New Year’s Eve. I flew into town from Vietnam to spend some time with my closet friends and...More

We have been coming to KHMR for years. This year we got relegated to the Mountaineer Lodge. It is next to Glacier Lodge but seems to be the lower class residence. The condo was okay but definitely seeing the effects of wear and tear. Not...More

The snow is good, and there, some amazing verticals and lots of skiing for experts. But. Tiny ski area, 4 lifts, all are crap. Only one lift serves top top to bottom. When it's -20C why is no lift even heated or covered or faster....More

We came to Kicking Horse to ski with our family. It was -18°C and the snow was superb. I’d recommend the resort for family skiing as they have an amazing selection of ski runs, from beginner to double black.

Great ski resort and not too busy. Good powder. Bar is small and busy but no long lift lines and great skiing.

I agree. I don't know how busy it will be but as you know your plans it's better to get it booked in. We had to make a reservation and the mountain itself wasn't that busy when we went.
