This is like a museum, with shops from the 1800's, complete with skilled operators that do and explain it all. For kids the highlight is the karusel! It is from the early 20th century, complete with an organ, my favorite! And all is free!

It's always a fun time at the Burnaby village museum! Great displays, informative docents, a cute cafe. A fun trip through time, all for free.

This is a real gem, highly recommended. Plenty to interest both adults and kids. The docents in period dress were the best feature. They were all very friendly, provided fascinating information, and welcomed questions. The tinsmith and printer gave great demonstrations. Although we didn’t partake,...More

This museum is a lovely heritage museum. There are actual interpreters in the stores and talk about how things use to be done which was great! The carousel was awesome and so was the Gift Shop.

What a very beautiful and informative museum! The grounds are well maintained with colorful gardens enhancing the restored old buildings. The ice cream shop had sandwiches and baked goods at a very reasonable price. It was well laid out with vintage costumed staff available to...More

Much better than expected. We visited three times and enjoyed every visit. The carousel is brilliant and really well restored. All the different houses/shops are interesting and the café is really good and excellent value for money. The volunteers who are in attendance really make...More

This was a great place to spend a few hours. The admission was free and there was loads of stuff to see. My spouse is not very mobile and they provide free wheelchairs for the disabled. While the food is quite expensive, I certainly didn't...More
