This is a very interesting, historic look at the coal mining industry. There are two different tours one s less strenuous than the other. The tour that climbs the coal chute is a wonderful tour but I would recommend that the walk down on the...More

Really enjoyed this old coal mine. Very well preserved. There is a small coal car train that goes around the property and would be great for children. We took the "Tunnel Tour". Quite a steep climb going up and lots of stairs going down. Everyone...More

Since we have visited several mines before and know what tipples are and how being in a mine seems, we passed up the tour and instead toured the grounds and looked at the old equipment. This seems like it would be fun for families with...More

We did the Tunnel tour and it was interesting. Specially the part where you get to wear lamps miners used to use back in the 60s/70s. We also rode the train and the pony wagon. My children had fun, for sure.

This place has amazing potential to be a great excursion if they put the vision of tourism into it. Regretfully for us it was expensive and a waste of our time. In order to go into the mine you had to be prepared ahead of...More

This was by far one of the best attractions we saw while in Drumheller. It was a little pricey, but great value for the money. We cheaped out and did the building tour and train ride. We regretted not doing the mine tour. If you...More
