For a rest stop, this turned out to be an amazing discovery for our group. It’s jaw dropping’s gorgeous. We will be back to join the folks seen hiking the canyon from afar. Great picnic site.

Also a place to visit while in Drumheller. There is a large parking lot but no bathroom facilities or picnic tables. The canyon itself is different than the Horseshoe Canyon. It appears deeper and more narrow but equally beautiful in its own way. There is...More

This is a drive out of Drumheller to see but well worth it. When you stand on the edge of the canyon you can picture the dinosaurs roaming the valley below.

Not as grand as the grand canyon but this canyon still offers a magnificent view. It is not far from the parking. Hike if you want, but we didn't with small children and running out of time. We'll surely do that next time.

My wife and I had a nice visit to Horsethief Canyon last week. The scenery is quite nice. Unfortunately the wind was gusting very strongly resulting in us getting sandblasted. I'm sure that on normal days it is much more pleasant.
