just spent two weeks checking out all the Pacific beaches. most don't have spa or 5 star resorts. just nice place to relax or surf. but beware most beaches in michoacan have strong riptide currents. Nexpa is nice, away from it all. not many places to stay. take your food and snacks. and travel up and down the coast from... More

Such an epic wave. Left handed rivermouth pointbreak with offshore winds every morning! Every surfer's dream! Nice and remote, amidst a sleepy village! Can not wait to revisit!

Nice beach. great surf, the problem I can see there is that needs an authority that controls the drug use in the small cabins at the hotels, and the garbage at the beach

There are no beaches in Morelia. NONE! Morelia is an inland city with many charms BUT NO OCEAN AND NO BEACHES.

I have enjoyed two long stays at Nexpa, each time that I was there, it was for a few months. I was first there by default, as I had been first at a hotel in Caleta de Campos; I am a swimmer, and at the end of a long and ecstatically beautiful swim there, I had a swimming accident; there... More

I love this beach best of all on the west coast of Mexico. It is not fancy or plastic. Rent a cabaña and swim in the lagoon. It is unspoiled and attractive and fun. We saw a movie being made there of a young woman who was the surfing champ of Brasil. Apparently, the waves there are supremo.

Nexpa's a great place to visit, an essential stop if you're a surfer. Nice camping at Chicho's. Not the greatest swimming, though with baseball sized rocks thrashing around at the tideline. The lagoon is beautiful, but a little contaminated... There's much better swimming at Arenas Blancas, Pichilinguillo, Maruata, Faro, etc. http://home.comcast.net/~alpinelakes//Coast_of_Michoacan/ cheers, alpinelakes
