Leacock was a notable Canadian who was well-known a century ago. His humour still holds up today. This was his summer home, and it's in a beautiful location on Lake Couchiching. It's interesting for some of the furnishings and artefacts. Especially interesting is a display...More

The grounds of this old "cottage" are beautiful with colourful gardens. It is easy to see why Leacock escaped to here. The tour of the house was interesting.

This gem is in a beautiful location on Lake Couchiching. The rooms have been lovingly restored to show life during Leacock's years of living there. They have a very interesting boutique, filled with lots of treasures to tempt tourists.

My favorite part: Being in Mr Leacock's office and seeing the peephole he had to see who was at the front door and if he would receive them or have told he was unavailable. There is something magical in this house. The places he would...More
