This is really two sites next to each other. The archives are located in the old jail, where you can learn about how prisoners were incarcerated, as well as the two executions that took place in St. Andrews. Rumor has it that one of the executed prisoners still haunts the old jail!

The majestic building next door, meanwhile, contains the old courthouse that only closed in 2016, which at the time made it the oldest serving courthouse in Canada. Among other interesting things, you can see the name of a lawyer who carved his name on a drawer way back in 1844.

I really enjoyed my visit to both sites, which was greatly facilitated by my knowledgeable tour guide. A must see if you visit St. Andrews.

Our group did a ghost walk tour with Miss Demeanor. Felicity did an excellent job of presenting the history behind some of the towns colorful characters. The gaol was very cool, and we loved being there.
The court house is amazing!!
Special thanks to Felicity for allowing her presentation to be given in ASL through a Sign Language Interpreter for our deaf visitors.
The ghost walk of St. Andrews is not to be missed!

I was interested in getting some information about First Nation's people in the area and they were fantastically helpful, digging out heaps of folders with priceless info.

We stumbled upon this attraction when looking for a geocache nearby. The tour guide was very keen to show us around and provided just the right amount of interpretation.

I took part in the ghost walk this past summer while I was on vacation in St.Andrews, Felicity who led the ghost walks was very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed the different sites and history of the town. We truly enjoyed the Gaol and it was easy to tell that this was the biggest hit and Felicity truly enjoyed it and was extremely passionate throughout the different history. The Gaol was definitely haunted and super spooky and Felicity did a wonderful job of emphasizing it. 10/10 I will definitely be back again!!!

I recently took the Ghost Walk of St Andrews and am so glad I finally did! There’s a colourful history in the seaside town and MissDemeanor is the ideal host to tell the tales with her in-depth knowledge of the history and her engaging & energetic personality. The old Gaol was most fascinating, in a very spooky way! This was the most fun I’ve ever had in St. Andrews and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. 10 stars!

My friend, my daughter, and her friend went on the ghost walk for my daughters 14th birthday. Misdemeanour was amazing. She we informative and entertaining and personal. We could have sat and talked all night. The ghosts were particularly active on the evening that we went. We had an awesome time.

Miss Demeanour was *AMAZING*. Our group of 4 was floored by her; her mindblowing knowledge, incredible ability to tell a story, passionate and lively personality, sense of humour, extremely caring nature toward both humans and spirits, and general goodness shone through the whole time we were with her. She managed to get us in last minute, even under COVID restrictions (which she follows), and gave us much more of her time than we expected her to, which we all appreciated immensely. To say the trip was worth more than $10 is a huge understatement. We all said, upon leaving, that we could have spent all night talking to her. She is a truly fascinating person and the stories of St. Andrews are certainly worth hearing - and experiencing. This was definitely the best experience we've had here, and we hope to see Miss Demeanour again soon!
