We stopped off for a tour of the fort and museum and to see how the North West Mounted Police lived. The tour guide was very informative and the museum which is small was very interesting. The staff in the museum was very helpful and friendly.

Musical ride and the live interpretations of history are fun for all who attend. Fort Macleod offers much to see and do in the area. The Fort is the 'anchor' of this small, welcoming community. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Filled with history. We were fortuate to enjoy the 40th aniversary of the Musical ride - a wonderful day. There were a number of people enacting the time in costume and great riders in the NWMP uniforms

Found the fort to be educational, enjoyable and an adventure. The museum and fort was quite a unique experience. The mounted police review and hoses was a true to life replica.

Interesting to see the old relics and memorabilia. If you like horses you may enjoy it more, they do a riding display.

Entrance to the museum is reasonably priced. Interesting to see the history of the NWMP and the first nation peoples. Most of the dispays are static and there signs and boards with a lot of information presented with each display.

First, the ride. This is NOT the official Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride! The motley crew in red serge appear to be local students who dress up for this entertainment. It will probably amuse uncritical kiddies, but anyone who has seen professional dressage events...More

Great way to spend an afternoon in southern Alberta. After a visit to the Fort, check out Johny's Cafe or the Silver Grill.
