The property was originally settled by the Stewart farm and was occupied for many years by Earl Ward who grew up there, Earl had an accident while he was very young when his Father was blowing up tree stumps and Earl poked his head around the barn at the wrong time and lost an eye. Earl operated a marina there... More

My wife volunteers here and showed me around. The history is fascinating and an important part of the South Surrey and Canadian heritage. The nearest town for the Stewarts was New Westminster and it took them a day to get there - 20 Minutes by car today!

Nice place to go for some quiet relaxation time. We came here early evening and I liked the views and quietness. Had an impromptu photoshoot to boot!

Like many places in South Surrey/White Rock, we have been here many times. Sometimes it is too busy but most of the time it is perfect. Great location and lots of History. Lots of Fruit trees and a very interesting group of buildings.

A wonderful, old home furnished to reflect life in days long gone. Admission is by donation and there is someone on site to answer your questions. Pictures and stories familiarize visitors with the original residents - how they lived and who they were. I recognized many items in the kitchen... Views from the upstairs windows are quite spectacular, overlooking the... More

Love the history of this beautiful home, the decor is so perfect, and the setting on the river just adds to this wonderful place. I've been to several of their Christmas events too - and it brings back memories of the good old days! They offered home made cookies, chocolate milk, PLUS they had wonderful Christmas music in one of... More

I'm a sucker for historic sites. Nothing takes me out of my everyday stress and into a pastoral idyll like an historic farm. This one delivers. It's on the river and has outbuildings, so you can wander around pretending that you live in a simpler world...though one free of the negatives of life over a hundred years ago. When I... More

I visited Stewart Farm with a group of friends, 2 weeks ago, after driving past it for many years and wanting to visit. The house was decorated for Christmas and the comforting smells of the wood burning stove, hot apple cider and gingerbread wafted through the house. We were greeted at the entrance by a lovely woman who was playing... More

We're so glad you stopped by too! The site changes wonderfully with the seasons and so do our programs, activities and happenings. So plenty of reasons to pop in again. More

Learn what life was like back at the turn of the century. Tour through the house and learn about the family that once lived there. The kids loved trying their hand at the water pump outside! There are often special events, so check the schedule, since many of the special events are definitely worth attending.
