We go to Lighthouse almost every week. There are a myriad of trails throughout the park. The tall trees are magnificent and there are numerous locean ook-outs along the edge of the park. Don't just walk down the road to the lighthouse like everyone else does...branch out onto the trails. Jack Pine Point is a nice spot for a picnic... More

It was a nice walk in the early evening (park closes at 10 pm in the summer, I believe). There are several trails you can take to get to various viewpoints in the park. Well worth the drive!

We enjoyed walking up to the light house. The grounds around the lighthouse is very clean. Is was interesting to read about the lighthouse keepers who used to work there. There are houses there that World War II soldiers stayed in to protect the shores. It would have been nice if you could have gone in them. There are 2... More

We visited three parks in succession (Whitecliff, Lighthouse and QE). Lighthouse won the day. Careful on road in and out, its two way and the width of a bike path. Parking lot was ok. Trails are great (up and down) and not challenging. Saw lots of seniors. Once you get closer to the water, the path down to the rocks... More

Could not believe the size of the trees in this park, Huge... We hiked down to the lighthouse which meant you had to hike UP to the parking lot. Not too bad if you pace yourself. View of lighthouse was ok. Good to say you did it but would not repeat, There are many other trails through the park and... More

Beautiful walk down to the lighthouse, however the gate was locked near the lighthouse so you really couldn't see much of it.

Can't get enough of Lighthouse Park--head there virtually every day with my dog. Great ambience and nice folks to run into on a regular basis. Wonderful ocean views, forests and love the birds!

Another fabulous set of trails can be found a short drive from downtown Vancouver heading towards Horseshoe Bay. The parking lot is full of potholes and parking is at a premium during peak weekend times but travel there during off times and it is one of the lesser busy places around Vancouver and completely free. Lots of trails to choose... More

This park has free parking, nice and easy trails with no elevation gain and is great for all ages. It's a nature park, so visit it when it's dry, otherwise the trails can get muddy. All the trails are short and lead to the ocean, reaching various view points which offer wonderful views. You can download a free map of... More
