The Christmas installation at Uppark is innovative and fun. All of the trees are real Christmas trees, not artificial, which was a great bonus. The focus is on exquisite costumed mannequins dressed in paper by Denise Watson (Delicarta) representing the Lord and Lady of the...More

We were heading south for the weekend with friends and agreed to meet on the way at Uppark. We were aware that the house wasn't open but knew that the cafe was and that tours of the servants areas were available. We had coffee and...More

Stunning location, hidden on the South Downs with amazing panoramic views all across the Solent. The house has a fascinating hidden history, which was very much bought alive by friendly, knowledgeable room guides. The gardens are lovely, with games (in a box), for people to...More

We visited as autumn was approaching and were happily occupied for around 3 hours looking at all there was to see. The volunteers were, as in most NT properties, very helpful and keen to answer questions and tell you anything you wanted to know about...More

We enjoyed the gardens and café. The tour of the Servants Quarters was informative but we felt that it was far too rushed and didn't give us time to read the information boards. We realized before we set off that the house was closed but...More

Beautiful house situated in picturesque gardens. Well worth a visit to just relax in the countryside. The little cafe has delicious hot chocolate and cakes. The shop has a great selection of home made crafts and information about the surrounding areas.

We stopped at Uppark on our way to the Sussex coast. We spent two hours there. There was a fairy hunt event on that our 4 and 2 year olds enjoyed. It was a sunny day and the grounds well kept . Compared to many...More

Easily accessible by bus 54 Chichester-Petersfield (Oct 2017), though the NT signs acknowledge only those arriving/leaving by car. Start in the servants’ area, a quite spectacular world of its own far more extensive and comfortable than most servants’ quarters would probably have been. The stables...More
