We had low expectations for this museum and mostly went because it was close to our campground and we were driving by. It was actually quite interesting and there is more to see that you first think. There is a neat relocated fort that you...More

I have been to all the museums in the County and this is my favourite. I do have a love for the water and ships though. Small museum with some beautiful pieces. Quick little walk through that is great for families or couples!

We actually missed out on touring inside the museum. We only had time to check out the lightstation that was built in 1967 as a mariner's memorial.

there were many objects to view outside of he museum, that has just closed for the season. there were huge ship anchors, a lighthouse, that had been moved there to the site from a distance away.

A large collection of books, beautiful model ship, and lots of interesting paraphernalia related to local marine history. The wall paintings were impressive. A pleasant, knowledgeable attendant. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a very interesting museum. It was my Dad, a former sailor on the Great Lakes, who was keen to go, but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The museum is packed with all kinds of interesting treasures, and great stories from local history. Although...More
