I have been to the park many times for work. Every time I go I see something different, ranging from Humpback whales to massive seal lions. The Heritage sights along the way are wonderful to see! The many island are perfect to explore by kayak!

In an email to Steve of Ocean Sound Kayaking: I want to thank you for having such an absolutely wonderful tour - it could not have been better. After paddling roughly 120 km I have nothing but superlatives when talking of the adventure undertaken July 12 -21, 2016. The guides, Abbey and Jane who in the adventure scene are world... More

We travelled in Gwaii Haanas with Maple Leaf Adventures, aboard the SV Maple Leaf. While there, we saw countless whales, sea lions and sea birds. We also visited several First Nations heritage sites and learned many things about the rich history of the coastal First Nations. Maple Leaf's fantastic crew, including a wonderful chef and a very knowledgeable naturalist/cultural historian,... More

We spent two days here journeying by boat and plane. The guides we used provided all the historical context we needed and the Watchmen were exceptional.

We visited the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve in August 2016 with Atlas Ocean Tours. The MV Atlas is a sturdy comfortable boat that seems to expand to fit its occupants. Its skipper, James, is a capable, entertaining host, well-versed in all aspects of seamanship, cuisine and history. The whole program, from the time we booked to the tour itself,... More

We toured the park on a 4-day tour with Moresby Explorers. Can't say enough about the experience - it was awesome. So glad this park protects this special place.

We set out on Monday morning with Haida Style Expeditions, James Cowpar, with deck hands Jags Brown and Jaylene Shelford. Safety first is James watchword. Jags is the storyteller and photographer and Jaylene sings with accompaniment with a Haida Drum. We landed first at Taan'u where Haida Watchmen Mary and Walter Russ and their daughter Raven Dolly greeted us. After... More

We did an 8 day kayaking trip from island to island. It was like Acadia, ME but much much bigger and with no other people. You could go a day or two without seeing other visitors and when we did it was watching a passing boat. Wandering around camp was even a delight with the tidal pools. On the zodiac... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful trip through Gwaii Haanas on board the MV Atlas. It was their first excursion of the year, and we enjoyed a beautiful, serene journey through the national park visiting most of the Haida village sites, including Skedans, Tanu and culminating at SGaang Gwaii. Along the way, we enjoyed some great fishing, kayaking,... More
