Visit the village, paradise walk or Dovedale. It is all fun. There is a tea shop, campsite and gift shop. We enjoyed Dovedale and the stepping stones best.

We went to Ilam and walked from there along the banks of the Dove returning for a National Trust afternoon tea. The view from the garden is beautiful

Thank you for sharing your experience. We may be biased, but we think that the view from the tea-room garden is one of the best too. We hope that you'll visit again soon to enjoy more riverside walks and scenic views.

Ilam Park is lovely for a walk on a sunny day. The building is a Youth Hostel, but the grounds are very well kept and the Manifold Tea Room in the grounds is a good place to stop for a snack
