This park is right on the waters edge and located blocks from the centre of town. We stopped because of all the eagles we saw flying around. There were so many the young were landing on the rooftops of residences just across the street. The ocean is just meters away and they just hang in the trees looking for dinner.... More

A beautiful stroll along the waterfront as the sun was setting. We even got to ser a cruise ship go by in the distance. Port hardy is nice and quite so it is a very peaceful place to walk along the water.

A combination of great cold water diving, excellent crew and staff, and amazing food. The visibility was an easy 50-60 feet with several Octopus and Wolf Eel encounters during our week. Capt. Lyle, Hannah, and Tim's knowledge of the dive sites and focus on safety is unsurpassed. Shona made each meal an amazing event, a difficult feat considering the dietary... More

Excellent resort and dive boat resort for serious divers. Signed up for another trip as soon as we got home.

God's Pocket Resort is a Dive/Kayak Resort that is absolutely amazing. Located on Hurst Island, they are a funky, but first class facility. We were kayaking around the islands and made a "reservation" for dinner at God's Pocket Resort. They're not a restaurant and had a full compliment of divers staying with them, but they accommodated 2 kayakers for dinner... More

Toured around the God's Pocket Marine Park area for a week by kayak. Stayed at Nolan Point on Balaclava Island. Numerous humpback sightings daily, Orca, sea otters, scores of eagles. Beautiful area. Nice west coast feel.

Nice city park with great view. Map shows it on the south side of the channel but in fact it's in town across from North Shore Inn.

Fantastic remote kayak camping area. No facilities - just great campsites (we found 4). Found 2 fresh water streams to get filtered water. Saw whales, sea otters, seals and sea lions, and lot's of eagles. The weather was mostly sunny. The seas were virtually flat while we were there making kayaking a true joy.

For years I've heard about the amazing diving in God's Pocket and I finally managed to get up there. Although there is no doubt it's COLD (10 degrees) the underwater life rivaled the Red Sea and Caribbean (probably beats the Caribbean). If I'd reached in to touch Browning Wall I would have had soft corals and a myriad of life... More
