Although it was smaller that we were expected, it was still a great experience. We arrived at the Butterfly Garden after we had spent all day at Butchart Gardens so we were tired and ready for a rest. But this butterfly sanctuary is such a tranquil and peaceful place that we just couldn't miss it. Neither should you. Stop and... More

The butterfly gardens was NOT easy to find - at least 25-30 minutes north of Victoria and takes all of 20 minutes to go through. My kids did enjoy the butterflies and limited other animals but the hefty entrace fee didn't really make up for it. Unless you are already going to Buchardt Gardens (about 5 min drive away) and... We're sorry you found our gardens difficult to find, we are one left hand turn onto Keating Cross road off of the highway coming out from Victoria. We house a wide variety of tropical butterflies and as we are not a zoo, we do only house a limited number of rescue animals. Most of our guests spend a minimum of... More

Took my relatives to Butterfly world. $16 for Adults, $11 for seniors and students, $5 for kids 4 to 12. If you are disabled ask for a discount (show your card) One can probably get through the entire garden in less than 30 minutes, less if you don't take your time. Colorful, informative self serve tour.

The gardens are on the way to Butchart and for me, the butterflies made it more interesting. However, the older I become, the less I like seeing animals and birds (here - flamingos and parrots) in a restricted environment - it is simply wrong. That said, the butterflies were superb. The atmosphere is tropical by necessity, so check your camera... More

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are very glad to hear you enjoyed our gardens and we wanted to share some information on our animals with you. All of our animals are rescues or adoptions from often unfavorable situations. We are proud that our resident animals are no longer behind mesh or bars. We do strictly no breeding or... More

Visited the butterfly garden earlier this month on a rainy day. Apparently there were not as many butterflies as my girlfriend had seen on previous occasions but it was still really interesting. We met up with a very curious little parrot named "Little E". He jumped up on my arm - I was a little nervous but he was a... More

I loved it. The air was a little weird, but I guess it's better for the animals or something. The butterflies were so colourful and I hadn't seen most of them before. The gift shop was big and had a lot of souvenirs. Definitely recommend it! :)

Took our granddaughter here as part of her birthday celebration. She loved it... the many varieties of butterflies, iguana, parrot and more! All up close and personal. Offers AAA discount too! Nice gift shop and not overly priced.

We visited the Victoria Butterfly Gardens on our way back from the Butchart Gardens, and we really enjoyed it. Though this place is very small, it kept us busy for more than an hour and we learned a lot of things not only about butterflies and moths but also about macaws, parrots, tortoises, koi fish and iguana. The kids loved... More

The Butterfly Gardens are very nice and the attached store and waiting area is also nice. It is humid inside the garden area so don't wear coats inside. They provide a coat hanging area prior to entering the garden area which is nice. The gardens are not real large and you can walk through the whole thing in 10 minutes... More
