Cafe only sells vegitarian food, and the cake did not look very interesting. The mill was very interesting, but some of the info boards etc could do with revamping. Dogs allowed in the shops but not in the mill. Local glass worker, stone mason, blacksmith and worker on site. Also a gift shop with various things.

We absolutely loved our visit to the mill, my partner in particular is hugely interested in the mechanics of machinery and loved meeting Lance who took the time to explain in depth the workings of the mill. Thank you so much for a lovely day!

Run down waste of time. Much better places to visit. Shame because it could be great but needs a complete overhaul. Left after about 10 minutes.

The mill and craft shop sit by the River Wye overlooked by the hills of the Peak District just south of Bakewell. The shop sells items a good cut above the average craft shop at quite reasonable prices. We especially loved the cards and pictures but candles, mugs and bamboo socks are all very good. The cafe is a pleasure... More

This is a great place to visit. The mill is good. The little craft shop is great for quirky things that you don't see on the high street.

Interesting place for adults and children. Craft shops and working flour mill. There is an entrance fee if you want to go into the actual flour mill and see the millstones grinding flour. You can buy the flour direct from there.

We visited on a Sunday morning. The mill was not working and there was little to see or do. I am not sure that even if the mill had been open this would have ben worth the visit

This is a collection of shops and craft workshops which is interesting and well stocked. It includes flour from a local mill, a stone mason, wood work and the more usual gifts and local souvenirs.

Can be found just off the A6 (left turn) as you drive through Rowsley towards Bakewell. This is an old flour mill where visitors can walk through the old mill and see how it used to be done years ago. The last time flour was produced here was in the 1970's. However there is a Mill Shop where you can... More
