Lovely for the people lucky enough to live there but not really a visitor experience. You go through a gate where you an view the exterior of a few houses around a green. There is no parking, picnicking, cafe or toilets. I would love to...More

Just over the road from Blaise Castle itself lies this beautiful little oasis of calm: a small grassy green surrounded by 9 gorgeous cottages built around 1810. Owned by the National Trust they are rented out to tenants so you can't go into the cottages,...More

If visiting Blaise Castle and the grounds, popping across the road to the hamlet is well worth it! Only a couple of minutes walk away, the quaint cottages exude character.

This hidden gem is a beautiful little oasis in the middle of a major city. The houses are in excellent condition and you can imagine life as it was centuries ago. They are inhabited so it's important to respect privacy but you are able to...More

Picturesque collection of cottages around a village green, hidden away in Henbury. Worth ducking if you're visiting Blaise Castle, but probably not of sufficient interest to warrant a trip by itself ( cue howls of outrage from architecture students :-) ). We came with the...More

You can't go in the houses as they are lived in, but you can wander around outside on the grass and footpath, and feel like you have gone back about 200 years. They are well preserved. If you go in August there are apple trees...More
