This is a must see attraction for anyone in the U.K. Incredible ship. Excellently presented. Never seen anything like it. Very good value for money. I have travelled about a bit in my time (Valley of the Kings, Egypt etc) and I'm not exaggerating to say that this is one of the best attractions I've ever visited.

Well worth the money and worth spending some time looking around this historic ship. You start by going down to the floor of the actual dry dock that the ship was actually built in, walking right around the hull. Then up to the story of the ship and its travels before going onto the deck of the ship, down to... More

The story of this ship is so amazing. It really does require the reading of every panel of information around the museum. You'd have a fun time just skipping around the hull but learning of its achievements and those of its creator are a pleasure. Its success as a new breed of liner, demotion to cargo and then its final... More

Friendly staff a great place. We took are 5 year old, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. With the authentic smells around the ship as you go into the accommodation, Galley, kitchen, Hold and the head (loo). There is Plenty of interesting facts for young and old. A great added bonus with the option to go back through the year. (we... More

I very much enjoyed my visit to the SS Great Britain! It was much larger that I was expecting and there was plenty to see and do for children and adults of all ages, including Victorian cake tasting, hands on exhibits and fancy dress. I also liked the way the rooms had been set up with period dress and props... More

stopped in Bristol overnight and needed to kill a few hours so went here, 4 hours later we left after experiencing a great time aboard this ship, loads to do and see, tickets last a year and were reasonably priced. Was great to see what had been done to the empty hulk that was dragged back from the Falklands, a... More

Visited with my partner and young daughter as she's doing a project on Brunel at school & thought this would be very educational for her. I loved it and so did my partner and was fascinated in the boats history but, I think young children find it quite boring due to their lack of concentration. Younger kids may find things... More

Wow! I'm not the type to walk around and read plaques when it comes to a historical site but this places makes you want to read everything in sight. What an amazing attraction. Certainly not a stuffy, boring exhibition - completely the opposite. Great for all the family whatever the ages. If you buy a ticket it then allows you... More
