Trip out for a Xmas walk Blaise castle Estate. Park at the free car park yes that itself is unusual in Bristol. walk towards the house/ museum we did not visit the house. Follow the path around past the old mill and then on to Tarn lake, here we then turned back and joined a path that took us up... More

We visited on a cold day in December and spent several hours in the grounds. There's plenty of walking to be done so and some fascinating features to spot as you work your way round. The views of Bristol are tremendous. The park is excellent for children of all ages and there's toilets and a cafe nearby. Parking is free... More

We went on a hot day so my views may be biased due to the weather, but it was such a beautiful place! We walked for around 2 hours and I am so glad we took a camera as the viewing points on the paths are breath taking. There were several people walking their dogs, who were clearly enjoying the... I visited because of a university project. The house itself could do with a bit of a revamp and the exhibitions look a little old but overall the place is charming and interesting. The museum is free which is a bonus and was unexpected. The walk up to the castle folly was nice as there are many pathways so you... More

We did not enter the house but walked around the park and visited the community garden, This garden is being restored by local people who give their time to this project. The work and effort involved is tremendous but such a fantastic endeavour so well worth a visit

We didn't enter the museum itself, but we did some walks at the park (there are 5 or 6 walks of different types of difficulty at the internet site). The park has some stunning views, great variety of flowers and the walks are very nice. Near the entrance there is huge playground for kids. It's very nice place to spend... More

Blaine castle estate has a lot to offer, the house is a museum with free entry and some fascinating exhibits, acres and acres of park land with woods to explore a stream to follow and a castle to find, the castle is a folly in the heart of the woods high up on the hill and is open to the... More

Green oasis not too far from the centre of Bristol. Situated in extensive grounds with many walks, many on paved surfaces. Few signs however and walks are not colour coded which means you could easily become lost. Play areas are very good and there is a cafe on site. Parking is free but limited especially at weekends.

The house it's self on the out side is a very nice place to be. The in side needs a bit of attention but nice nevertheless. It's free after all and not any less interesting because of this.the play areas where spot on and the walks in the woods where good as well. Don't know if it's worth driving 4... More

Have been to Blaise Castle many times growing up but never in the museum. We decided to go in and it was lovely. Its quite small but a fab little place to spend an hour and the kids loved the school room. They also loved being able to dressing up in the old clothes. Well done Blaise Castle!
