Like a lot of visitors I ended up in the M shed almost by accident - the reason being heavy rain. Anyway, whether your visit to this museum is by accident or design you can be pretty certain that an enjoyable couple of hours will be yours. For the more elderly visitors, memories will be rekindled fondly of old Bristol... More

We wandered around here for half an hour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally I thought the ariel photo of the city and surrounding area on the floor (whereby you're walking over it) was where I spent most time, but there were plenty of hands-on exhibits. The double decker bus seemed very popular and, given more time, would happily have stayed... More

A small but interesting museum focused on the people of Bristol. Different from many other museums. Includes a decent cafe.

Have been there twice this year so far. Initially went to BBC Wildlife photographer of the year exhibition; truely stunning pictures and thought provoking (Often upsetting) photojournalism. There are two free days each year and we visit on one of these days; there are quite a few folk, but one just has to take time to wander around at a... More

Excellent place to visit, take the children if you have any, great place on a wet weekend. If fine, you can walk along to the SS Great Britain and the Matthew ships. If the steam train is working, try that too. Easy parking nearby, or bus. Bike too if your a pal of the sacked Mayor.
