We saw the college from the river and then toured the parts that we were able to within the college. It dates back to 1511 and has various styles of architecture . The gardens at the back are lovely.

This is one of the nicest colleges in Cambridge, similar to Harry Potter movie or Oxford, so if you like this style of architecture, you should certainly visit this one.

Compared to other colleges you can visit for half the money this isn't really good value. I suppose the cost relates to "The Bridge of Sighs" but given you can only look rather than cross it that seems a problem. In the end I think...More

St John's College is one of the largest and oldest colleges is Cambridge. Both the architecture and the gardens surrounding it are great.
