I took a few lovely strolls here over Easter and it was different each time. On a rainy day you are covered nicely by the canopy which prevents you getting as wet. On a sunny day you can perch on a log with a good book listening to the stream and admiring the gorgeous colours around you. A little Oasis.

First time I have been here. An amazing place. Lots for the children to do. Wellies essential. Kids had a great time walking though the stream. Swings (not official swings) were great fun even for the adults. Do try it.

We had to research this place for directions of the internet and even then found it a little tricky to find. Parked up and put on wellies, although only a couple of muddy path areas. Was disappointed that there was little evidence of wildlife, but the walk is very pleasant. Streams and stepping stones are lovely. But the need for... More

We pulled into the carpark of these woods to turn around but then decided to have a little stroll around the woods whilst we were there. We were amazed by the views and atmosphere - the little stream is lovely and stepping stones every now and then are a fun way to get across. Popular with fishermen as well, it... More

St Catherine’s woods is a great place to go on a hot day to get away from the heat. The shade of the trees keeps it cooler than a lot of places on the island. It is a nice place to go for a bit of peace and quiet away from the more touristy areas. This is a popular place... More

We walk the dogs here, it's a fab place to go a visit if you like your walking! Take a picnic box, don't use the cafe that's close.

My family and I love to hike. My husband has instilled this value in our children, ages 10, 7, and 6. This walk was totally manageable, and traversable despite being waterlogged and quite muddy. The kids also really enjoyed the chance to try out a fairly safe rope swing that was just challenging enough to give them a sense of... More

despite wails of 'aren't we going to the beach'?, my 6 and 10 yr old really enjoyed a meander through these interesting and varied woods. signage could be a bit better - we had to backtrack to get to the car, rather than do the complete circuit, but it was only a minor issue. explained why we passed a number...
