Haven't been for years. Was there attending a meeting and saw the Christmas market was on so we just managed a quick walk around. We then arranged for a return visit overnight so we could explore more. And we still need to go again. So full of history, it's amazing!

Fantastic walled city giving the opportunity to walk all around the city. Cafes and bars en route and goes past the river and racecourse. Well maintained and felt very safe. Around a two mile walk all the way around.

Started off at the clock in the town and had a leisurely walk around. Nice views and fairly flat although due to restoration work there are a few diversions.

Very nice walk, good views and interesting history to it as well. You can feed some squirrels next to cathedral! There is some renovation works going on at the minute so a couple of diversions are in place.

Walked the walls, and found a new part opened up. There is alot more info to take in now. Always a good walk around the walls. You can drop off into the pubs when ever you need a rest or refreshment. You get to see alot more than you would if you just walked around the shops. Take the extra... More

After living in Chester some years ago it was lovely to come back to reminisce. You can almost walk around the entire city round the walls and you see everything from the Dee to the canal to the Roodee, the Roman ruins and all the little alleyways linking up the streets. It's a long walk round but so worth it.

Walk all the way around Chester on the medieval wall. Excellent, and free! Past the castle, overlook the racecourse, canal basin, and the river. Over the main shopping area where the clock is. Great way to see Chester

If you want to see a lot of Chester walk the full length of the walls it is well worth it. You will see the river the race course , castle , walk over the famous clock in north gate st. And the many locks on the canal
