We're the UK's number one charity zoo, with over 15,000 animals and 500 different species, including some of the most endangered species on the planet. With 1.9 million visitors every year, the zoo is an all-year round, full-day visitor attraction for everyone. We're open daily from 10am, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Car parking is free and on site. Facilities for disabled visitors, including self-drive electric scooters and wheelchairs.

Visited tonight my 6 year old grandson and his 8 year old cousin found it boring we didn't enjoy it although others in our party did enjoy it. Over priced for what we got and very disappointed

A wonderful atmosphere at Chester zoo Lantern Walk. The grandchildren are only toddlers but their eyes were full of wonder and they loved seeing the brightly lit animal lanterns. Staff were excellent creating and interacting animal movements and poses delighting the children.

This is such a lovely relaxed event at the zoo for Christmas. We have been for the last three years and enjoy it every time. My daughter is now 12 and still loves it. Roll on next year.
