After completing the walls we called into the Cathedral and I have to say I was blown away. There was a true sense of calm about the whole place. The windows were stunning and the whole place was awe inspiring. An added bonus was the Christmas trees. I particularly loved the ones decorated by the schools

Always love popping into this cathedral when in Chester, it's beautiful. The Christmas trees in the cloisters at Christmas time are worth a look.

Visited the Cathedral during a visit the the Christmas market. The Christmas trees where a lovely surprise. There are some really lovely mosaics and beautiful stained glass. They also seem to have a lot going on in the evenings ,concerts and such.If you are going for a few days it would be worth checking there website to see whats on.

The visitor centre atached recommends a £3.00 adission charge. As we had previously visited this Cathedral we decided to attend the Choral Evensong in the Quire. Lovely.

Went into the Cathedral to see the Christmas tree display and was not disappointed. The place was filled with excited school children on their school trip. The only thing I found disappointing was being "press ganged " into making a donation for a " free" display. We would have definitely donated anyway but it does leave you with a bad... More

Chester cathedral is definitely worth a visit if you are spending any time in this lovely city. It is located in the centre of Chester and entrance is free, but it is suggested that you might wish to make a voluntary donation. The exterior is impressive, especially the the stained glass window above the entrance. Once inside there is large... More

Chester Cathedral is lovely. For the festive season they have installed Xmas trees everywhere that light the cathedral. Outside is a lovely prelit star. Well worth a visit if you are there in December
