An old building intresting objects of historical relivence to the town

A old building limited space interesting but limited access especially for the disabled. I think more interesting for the old than the young.

The best part of visiting this museum were the volunteers working there. Passionate about history in general and especially the history of Looe. I cannot say enough amazing things about these ladies. Support this place and keep it running! It is worth it! There were many interesting artifacts throughout the museum from throughout the times and the building itself and... More

Lots of interesting things to learn here. I even learnt where the expression "not big enough to swing a cat in" came from. Want to know? Visit the museum.

We popped in as it was drizzling and I was curious to know more about Looe. The staff were lovely and quite enthusiastic about the museum which is run by volunteers. Its packed to the gunnels with artifacts and some of the exhibits had obviously been there a long time. I'm prepared to read everything but not everyone else is... More

Visited Polperro and Looe on Monday and tried both museums on offer. Overall I preferred the Polperro museum. This one is OK but not brilliant. Lots of steps to negotiate so not ideal for those with mobility issues. Could be organised better

It was nice to look at all the objects within the museum but I thought it could have been a little more interesting.

Looe is a lovely place to come and visit. It was my first visit here. The Museum was fantastic, the area is rich in history and stories of old. There was even talk about ghosts. There are two floors to look over with plenty to look at and readabout. Entry was £2 with the option to come back again with... More

This place is small but it's absolutely packed with history about Looe and the surrounding area. Loved reading about the past and seeing lots of pictures too. Lots of information about Looe Island which we later visited. You pay £2 entry and you can return again if you present your ticket. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Would... More
