This is a beautiful house set in the middle of the countryside. Be careful if trying to find using the Sat Nav as you may end up on very narrow lanes and crossing a Ford. Once you have arrived it is the sort of house...More

Just visited this property last week and found it an enjoyable experience. I was very interested to hear about the history of the house and families who had lived there. The house is quite small and it does not take much time to go round...More

And the atmosphere has been captured, as you walk around the rooms. The rooms have been well described and the guides were keen to share their information. The buildings have been well preserved too.

Beautiful house and extremely knowledgeable and engaging volunteers to help you explore and learn the history. Could have been more choice of food in the cafe but other than that a nice couple of hours out.

The house only took us 20 minutes from start to finish. The gardens may be good but on rainy day you have to pay for house and garden so at over £10 per person not good value.

Well worth a visit. Friendly and informative volunteers. Nice to have 'hands on' exhibits especially of armour. Family feel about the place albeit 98% of furniture etc is not originally from the house. However, it is in keeping with the Tudor period and the magnificent...More
