This once quaint street with its connections to the Bronte family has rushed into the modern world. Not nice!

Chapel Street is full of fun and funky shops, featuring wares from the sublime to the ridiculous (something for everyone!). The Egyptian House is magnificent, among all the other architectural eye-candy. Popped down here whilst on a trip to Cornwall. There are some lovely independent shops here, and is home to The Turks Head, the oldest pub in Penzance.

Some really interesting shops, galleries and a "high" in the Cornish tradition Church of England. Excellent largely fish restaurant, good but "worryingly tired" bookshop and at the top end a modern art gallery.

You can walk down this area of Penzance and just look at the differing architecture of its buildings and various places to both shop and to eat A pleasant walk considering the beautiful surroundings of this historic town
