This once quaint street with its connections to the Bronte family has rushed into the modern world. Not nice!

The Egyptian House is magnificent, among all the other architectural eye-candy. Popped down here whilst on a trip to Cornwall. There are some lovely independent shops here, and is home to The Turks Head, the oldest pub in Penzance.

Some really interesting shops, galleries and a "high" in the Cornish tradition Church of England. Excellent largely fish restaurant, good but "worryingly tired" bookshop and at the top end a modern art gallery.

You can walk down this area of Penzance and just look at the differing architecture of its buildings and various places to both shop and to eat A pleasant walk considering the beautiful surroundings of this historic town
