The hillside and gardens with plenty of palm trees and the kind of plants which only grow well in England in sheltered areas bring a gentle ambiance to this beach. It is but a short walk from the bus stop, and an even shorter walk...More

This has got to be one of the best beaches in this country. We took our two dogs at 7,30 every morning. The seals were also looking for breakfast. Spotlessly clean.

Even in winter months Porthminster Beach is beautiful and a joy to walk on. Lovely sandy expanse and a fabulous view of St Ives. In our view the best beach in Cornwall. And it's got the Porthminster Beach Café which is brilliant for drinks and...More

Excellent beach with good facilities. Gets very busy in summer but outside the main seasons it is a haven for everyone else.

Large golden sandy beach, 5mins walk from the hotel. Can be accessed by wheelchair users, but a bit hilly on upward journey. Plenty of space to relax and toilets available nearby along with Restaurants/cafes etc for refreshments. Appears safe due to being a sheltered bay.

What a wonderful seascape. Long, wide beach. Beautiful sea and views. Magnificent when empty out of season.

It's flat so great for paddle boarding. They do hire surf boards but you do surfing on the beach on the other side of St. Ives.
