We took a walk around the island and were treated to absolutely gorgeous views of the windswept landscape. We hiked up to the little chapel on the hill and the views were best from this vantage point.

A lovely headland, great for escaping the masses in the winding St Ives streets. There are views to the north and east with sheltered benches, great for lunch if you can escape the gulls, and bracing walks to the chapel or round the headland. Very close to the town and with easy access.

When visiting St Ives, as we do a couple of times a year, one of our many favourite things to do is walk round the Island. The tiny chapel up on the top is well worth the climb, there was a lady explaining all about it one time & the views out to sea & back over St Ives are... More

Behind the harbour and quaint houses is this lovely walk, where you can get some space from the crowds. There is a pretty little chapel (not open when we visited) and views all round from this lovely vantage point at the top. A gentle but not challenging walk.

Whatever the weather, this is a must do walk. If it's hot and sunny, the sea and coast look fabulous. If it's windy the sea lashes the coast in a wonderful way.

A nice break from the busy steers of St Ives, it is a climb but worth it for views of the bay and town. Walk along the harbour and the start of the climb is behind the shops and cafes.

It's great to follow the little path around the coast and take in the beautiful views of the bays along the way. Best of all is the breathtaking view you will get from the Chapel. It's not far at all but well worth it. I sat on the chapel wall dangling my legs over the edge soaking it all up.... More

Can see for miles from here but not too hard to walk up the hill. Saw Dolphins out in the sea in March.

We braved apparent 50mph winds to treck up to the Island Chapel. Well worth it for the views over St Ives Bay and the great sense of achievement.
