Visited after promising for ages! Much better than We thought, house was interesting, gardens lovely, breathtaking views, great cafe, friendly and informative staff.. Bring your walking shoes though!!!

Great National Trust property. Ample parking (rare in this area) and very helpful staff. The house is actually very interesting, more modern than the other typical National Trust properties. Gardens are very impressive and enjoyable for both ourselves and the kids.

the lower vehicle ferry from Dartmouth to Kingswear and It takes about five minutes
