We received lots of historical details regarding the foundation and evolution of the distillery. Host was very nice and helpful. At the end of the tour we got details regarding the ingredients that are used and as well we were able to taste the two types of gin - slow gin and army strong gin. As it was Christmas period,... A fantastic tour, courtesy of our hostess Pippa. It starts with a great summary of the history of Plymouth Gin followed by an explanation of the distillation process in the distillery. Then you move through to the Gin Palace; a fabulous setting for the tasting activity amongst 400+ gins. And the final activity of producing you own gin is a... More

We found out lots of interesting facts about the history and production of Plymouth Gin. Our guide answered questions knowledgeably and we enjoyed the tasting.

A family visit to discover the delights and mysteries of Plymouth Gin. A great tour,(thank you Pippa) and a lovely touch to provide a refund for my Niece, who was unable to join us. Enjoyed the deep leather sofa's in the bar. Sampled the Gin and the Sloe Gin, both unique and mellow in flavour. With the increase in the... More

A tour of the distillery was booked for me as a fun surprise. I didn't really know what to expect, but it was brilliant! I learnt so many genuinely interesting facts about gin and the Plymouth distillery. You get a full tour, a taste of their standard and sloe gin. Plus a free gin and tonic at the end! The... More

I am not happy to mark down a local attraction as there are few enough world class things to see in Plymouth, but someone needs to sort this out and improve the experience for visitors. The instructions ask you to be there ten minutes before the tour starts but this only means ten minutes of hanging around unsure of where... More

I had a fantastic time and learned so much about the making of gin. We did a taste test of 5 different gins, and the 1 I hated turned out to be the 1 I drink , goes to show how the choice of tonic plays a big part in changing the original taste. Went to the bar after and... More

My friend and I did the £7 tour of the distillery which included a tour and talk for around 40 minutes, plus some gin tastings with the added option of a G&T after the tour (or a miniature to take away). We found it really interesting and informal, the guide was knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions. After the tour we... More

Enjoyed a visit to gin distillery, found it very interesting with friendly & knowledgeable staff. Learnt all about the history & making of Plymouth gin as well as ingredients used and taster. Free G&T in bar after or miniature to take home. Good shop to make purchases too. All round worth the money.

Had an excellent and knowledge tour guide, and learnt a lot about making gin. Plymouth Gin is definitely the favourite brand! Well worth a visit.
