I had high hopes for this place and having visited living museums like Blists Hill and the Black Museum I thought this might be along the same lines. We were given a warm welcome so I thought this would be a gentle jaunt through history. We started off in the Victorian street - and it really freaked me out, it's... More

Advertised very well but is just a small building with shed loads of collectors items shoved in it. Very good for O.A.P's and middle aged folk but not really for families with young kids. They have an extensive collection of old World War 1 & 2 items and lots of old military apparel but younger people won't really dig it.... More

Enjoyed every moment of this place. I could come back day after day. Worth every penny. Entrance is under £10 and you can spend a good couple of hours. They have fantastic displays from milliners to sweet shops and grocers, toy shops and an old pub. Fantastic model railway and a ww2 trench. Do try the tea shop too if... More

We found Bygones full of interesting bits and pieces from days gone by. The street scenes and shops were amazingly well done even down to the smells that would have been there too. Well worth a visit.

Visited after the model village, it was like dr who's tardis inside, liars stacked inside to look at, my 8 year old loved it too, and shows you what life was like many years ago in the shoos and homes and during the wars. You can't really sided a lot of time here but a couple of hours pottering about... More

This museum was truly interesting for those of us who can remember what it was like or youngsters to experience. It was smaller than I thought , in amongst some shops and we nearly drove right past it! Park in a side road .

I feel that a great deal of time and effort has gone in to making this a good attraction. An explanatory leaflet guides the visitor around the premises and gives details of what to find and where. The three levels are crowded with a tremendous variety of items, some of which those of a certain age will remember as part... More
