Bygones has a series of Victoriana shops etc. There are lots of this sort of thing around, this one was good, it's a fair size, but for me it had nothing to make this one stand out. Located outside the town centre, but easily accessed...More

There are 3 floors showing shops as they used to be; with the old sounds and smells and a gift shop. We thought the entry fee (£8 for a concession was a little expensive, but its great for a wet day.

Many thanks for your visit. We feel the entry fee is value for money for our 3 floors, displays all of which are original and considering the 20% VAT inclusive. We remain competitively priced with other attractions in the area.

Bygones is basically what its name suggests a museum of bygone days. However it is very much alive in its presentation. Displayed over 3 floors it has memories of childhood for anyone over 50. It also has a wonderful working model train and fairground display....More

This is our second visit here. The whole building is turned into the days of the Victorians from the cobbled streets and shops on the ground floor to the model trains and funfair on the third. There is also a walk through a world war...More

This really is a marvellous place to visit - so very interesting and cleverly put together; a couple of hours pass by so quickly because you become so interested in all the exhibits, and the sounds of bygone days are really authentic. Don't miss it...More

From my memory, I believe downstairs would be possible, however, the stairs as mentioned by others, would definitely pose a problem. If it is possible, downstairs would still be a must see.
