This family-owned attraction is small enough to provide a friendly and personal service, with enough to keep visitors happy all day. What sets Totnes Rare Breeds apart is the opportunity to be within hugging range of all the animals. Most enclosures can be entered for close-up stroking, patting and cuddling. The Garden Café (outside the farm) offers made-to order dishes at reasonable prices, from indulgent snacks to tasty meals.

I took my young grandson and he loved the animals. He is asking to go back again. He loved feeding the goats and having the guinea pig so his lap. A good time had by adults and child.

We stopped off here after coming on the steam train - lovely farm with some great hands on experiences. My little boy loved looking at the animals but couldn't muster the courage to touch any just yet! Really lovely way to spend a few hours

Visited after trip on steam train. Easy access from totnes riverside station. Plenty of young animals. Plenty of young goats while we were there. Young children would enjoy the experience.

We have a nice morning out last week at the farm. As others have said, you cannot drive directly to the farm, but have to park in Totnes station and follow the brown signs along the river to the farm and the South Devon railway....More

Thank you, Jen; glad you enjoyed your time with us. Our lovely donkeys certainly give that impressions sometimes, but it hides a much more mischievous side!

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Walking through the South Devon Railway station to the Rare Breeds Farm. Very well organised with interesting breeds especially the owls. We all loved it and it also has excellent catering facilities .

Hello, we are purely animal based and so do not have a play park, so while we hope your child will love the animals, it may be a bit easier to persuade them to leave :) We hope to see you soon.
