We had bought a collective ticket covering a lot of different museums so while I acknowledge that the museum is pricey, it can be mitigated. The displays are good with some effort at more modern electronic elements. The displays of the tomb are good. I'd...More

This small museum has a number of treasures, artifacts and wordy exhibits, and takes about an hour to look round. We found the children's quiz quite disjointed and confusing over where to find the answers. At £8.99/£6.99 per adult/child, there was an extra charge to...More

Was quite disappointed in the visit,I think the £8.99 entry fee is a bit steep for what is there, wanted more to see the mummies!!!

This is a definite must see - I am a ex ancient history and Egyptology student so for me correct information and artefact construction is important - was very impressed by the replicas - and when we finished there was a family there and the...More

I parked my car across the road and then found it would cost 70p for one hour, only. I crossed the road and walked in. The woman, behind the counter, told me I could look around for £8.99 and for another £2 or £3, I...More

We had to cancel a planned trip to the Valley of the Kings so we thought we'd drop in here instead. Glad we did: saved us a bundle of cash and we stayed clear of sand flies and camel spit. Different scale, of course. This...More

This is a great place to visit. A small museum but packed full of stories, photos and exhibits. I thought I knew the story of Carter's discovery but there was more to learn. The attempt to find out how the boy king died presented as...More

I would say half an hour to threequarters of an hour to read and look at all the details and exhibits thoroughly.
