Pre-Christmas shopping

Although it was raining there was a buzz in the North Laines. Lots of interesting and quirky shops and cafes. The antique market is very good.

Loved it - just getting busy for Christmas - quirky and traditional all under 1 walkway. It was Black Friday however so was busier than normal, but still some great things to see and buy

Born in Brighton but lived away for 50 years. Always loved Brighton, vibrant, colorful, the city that never sleeps. Beautiful seaside views. I have travelled the world but Brighton is my favourite city. Pavilion unique, who can resist a visit to the Pier. Unrivaled variation in shopping from boutiques to department stores to quirky little shops in the Lanes and... More

Very busy on a Saturday! But fun. Lot's of shops and restaurants. Try to go on a Monday if you want it a bit calmer.

A backstreet area containing a few "antique' and collectors shops along with a variety of cafes and shops selling quirky goods. Easy to stroll around, though can be very busy. The weekend market in the streets attracts a lot of attention. Worth making the effort if this is your sort of thing.

Spent an enjoyable couple of hours browsing around the small Antique and vintage 'trinket' shops. Worth the walk.

You can't fault the North Laines for opportunities to buy all kinds of things from silver rings to poached eggs and bargain books to steampunch toppers. I really entertaining wander through several pedestrian friendly streets. Cheap entertainment if you don't buy things, but even if you do you will probably find a bargain.
