Well worth a visit to this stately home. not only is it full of history and the standard antiques you find in stately homes but it is also reportedly haunted. I think Most Haunted actually filmed a show here and had an experience with the ghost of a maid who's body was found on the property. You can also do... More

The staff at Preston Manor are outstanding; full of information, helpful and friendly. The lovely thing about this attraction is that you can wander round by yourself, in your own time and nothing is out of bounds or roped off, they have simply placed pine cones on anything you mustn't sit on! The kitchens downstairs are of particular interest and... More

As locals we drive past everyday and this time we decided we must go in. It's beautiful inside, lots of history about the area, the staff are fantastic with excellent knowledge. It's your Brighton Downton Abbey! We learnt a lot and recommend it to everyone. Shame it's not open all year, a good place to go in the winter! Even... More

I've been taken by a native English friend of mine and I enjoyed every second of the visit. The house is very interesting inside and it has a lovely park outside, where you can sit on a bench and watche the marvellous landscape. Absolutely worthwhile.

Preston Manor is a little gem of a place, just minutes from Brighton town centre by car, (free parking available on site) half price for Brighton residents when shown proof of address. but reasonable priced otherwise. We had access to virtually the whole house, amazed by the abundance of history, and how well laid out it all is. well worth... More

We booked to play the Alice in Wonderland croquet and had a great time. Both kids really enjoyed running around and hitting the ball through the playing cards. We had lunch and icecream in the park followed my a look around the manor. A fun afternoon.

It is a large manor from the outside, but inside you will drool at the amount of history, from old books and letters to basic kitchen utensils used. I could not stop taking pictures and just starring at the detail of the well preserved history.

The park and garden open spaces are well worth the walk around but the house seems closed and only open on weekends and bank holidays.

An interesting building once owned by the Bishop of Winchester and it is said to be the most haunted house in the south. Very cold upstairs and most original features still in place. Right by Preston Park with parking but wheelchairs would have problems. A little dusty but and interesting visit.

I was greated at the front door by a very friendly young lady by the name of Vicki and duly processed by the amiable Dave. First stop was a toilet stop. I mention this because we go back in time. I say no more. I was then left to my own devices to explore the secrets of the house. Coming... More
