The poor relation needs love, time and money but could be a centre for inclusion and flamboyance! We all go through changes and this once wonderful site can live a new life! 🌹

A walk along the pier which has the usual amusement casino with all the hustle and bustle of games machines ,tuppeny slides etc, which may be circumvented by walking around the exterior, some stalls selling food,,clothing and souvenir items. At the far end of the...More

You can hardly miss the charred remains of this pier that lies a few hundred metres west of the Palace Pier. It is rather sad however the i360 is an impressive contrast. In building the i360 the entrance gatehouses to the pier have been beautifully...More

Memories of when it was a slightly up market pier in comparison to the glitz of the Palace Pier. Afternoon tea and a concert or pianist! BA Tower at the head with restored "Sweet shops" is excellent and presents a good view over the City....More

I remember walking the length of Brighton's West Pier back in the 1960's and I recall that in those days it was very quiet indeed with few visitors, and I was not too surprised to subsequently learn of its closure to the public in 1975 for...More

If one's objective for seeking the beach is rest and relaxation, the shore facing the West Pier may be ideal. As it attracts less people (no thanks to the rusting ruins of the once-grand Pier), the area is more quiet. IN addition, the shore includes...More

Did not walk on it. Can see wreckage out in the water. You can walk on new Brighton Pier which has lots of attractions and eats.

As John it would be a very wet tea! The pier is derelict now just a shell, currently building a viewing tower on sight. If you want a cream tea, try the Grand Hotel nearby.
