A return visit for my other half, first ( and not last) for me. The Landlady and Brewer were both really friendly, welcoming, and happy to guide and advise. Great Gins on offer that I hadn't tried before, and a selection of locally and on site brewed beers. The Porters were particularly good. It's a small pub with great decor... More

We really like this pub. Have visited it the last couple of times we have been to Brighton and it remains our favourite pub there. We never want to leave. You will either love it or hate it. If you like pubs that are primarily pubs (rather than places to eat) full of interesting characters and a decor that has... More

Had to come back to hand in hand. Love the quirkiness and the friendliness of this small pub. The seacider as always reaches the parts others don't. My husband also tried 2 of the guest beers and he did were tasty. We do back again

We received a warm welcome at this quirky relaxed little pub. Certainly worth the walk doing a tour of Kemp Town. Great craft beers on offer and plenty to keep you entertained.

We always make a beeline for this quirky, cosy pub on visits to Brighton. Staff are friendly & the pub is full of character. It attracts a diverse range of interesting punters which makes for great conversation.

we stumbled on this place after eating out, we were going to pop in for a quick one then venture onward into the centre, well, we never made the centre! Great crowd of very friendly people and bar staff, we even had shots a few times with the bar staff too. Great place for a real feel good factor. Thanks... More

After being slighted by the crown in Grafton street, one of the locals took pity on us and whispered in our ear that we should try the hand in hand. Well, what a difference! We were met by the warmest of welcomes and made to feel at home straight away. This is by no means a small pub, but my... More

Very friendly pub, used by friendly locals and serving good beer too. There is clearly a lot of history in this charming little pub, this short visit on my first ever trip to Brighton was not doing it justice! Next time I shall spend more time, and it would appear that the range of beer changes quite a lot which... More
