I visited the House as part of a university trip to do some research. It was a rainy day, and the house is in the centre of the park, about 20 mins away from the nearest bus stop so it's quite inconvenient for those who cant drive but if it was a nicer day it would have been fine. The... More

After a bit of a disaster night when our group went for Christmas, Proud offered us a complimentary meal! Today our group went for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely as we were leaving they were dishing up cream teas which looked fabulous. The staff were lovely and although it was busy they weren't harassed, unlike before. Outside there was... 5 minutes from main A25 - A beautiful place, plus 25 of us with children from babies to 11 year olds. We took a portable marquee, bbq, sandwiches etc. Set up at the edge of the park, faced the park about 100 yards from the main house which has a bar and huge cafateria with lots of seating. Parking was... More

Simply a great place to take the dog, unwind and enjoy a cuppa at the cafe. But also well worth a visit to the Nursery. Stanmer Nursery is located in Stanmer Park, at the end of Stony Mere Way. Turn left after Stanmer Houseand park outside. These are the guys that keep our city parks and gardens in shape and have... More

Stanmer Park pretty much has something for everyone. It is a great place to take kids, dogs or just yourself and friends. I regularly enjoy a walk through the park and often cycle through it and up the hill to Ditchling Road. There are area's of mown grass and sports pitches and surrounding them is woodland with tracks and paths... More

Really great park. Lots of grassland, which is really what you want in a park. You can run around continuously over a large space. There are some big, lovely trees and even one you can swing yourself on with the help of mates or passers-by. One things to note is people do tend to explore their consciousness at night when... Took the dog for a walk! this has a great variety of different woodlands, when at the top of the hill traffic noise is fairly prominent, but this doesn't take away the fact it's a nice place to be and spend the day. Tea rooms close by are a little kitsch but nice to sit and have a tea welsh... More
