Visited again and picked the coolest day of the week . Fans of Foyles War will recognise the old fishermens net huts being distinctive tall buildings still in use. Also used excellent shops for sale of seafood and fish. Just a unique place

I have travelled a fare bit around the uk & have never seen buildings like this. In fact from what I learnt these net houses are unique to Hastings. The Stade is a very interesting area to walk around & learn about the area &...More

This is remarkable place, along the beach area where the fishing boats are moored. The black fishing huts stand gaunt and redolent of history. The air of this place is different, it feels different and engaging. One can stroll along from a fresh fish shop...More

A great place to observe the effort the fisherman have been and still go to, to bring fresh fish to the shore. It is from here that the boats are launched from the shingle beach and retrieved from what is a very busy and tough...More

This is an open area great for public events like pirate day, the carnival and Jack o the green. There is room for a sound stage and a large capacity audience. There are several black sheds, very tall, that were the old net sheds when...More

On the edge of Hastings Old Town this is an area well worth visiting both to see the fishing fleet and unusual net huts and also to be able to buy really fresh fish at reasonable prices

The state is a great place to wander and has lots of wet fish shops, fish & chip shops, cafes, pubs and amusements nearby. It's a good starting place for a day beside the sea.

This is a lovely place to explore and to be, if.... "The Loo of 2015" would be up to standards in 2017:) We visited Hastings during the Easter Sunday (April 16) and (sorry for this detail) as, most of tourists or locals who have spend...More

Loved showing my family round here. The littlies spotted things tucked away among the tall fishermen huts. They were less keen on my purchase of a pint of prawns, but that meant more for me! A really lovely place to wander round.
