We are here on a Saturday in August and it was delicious. The portions were excellent, the food was cooked to perfection and it was really impressive. I had the portobello mushroom burger - a lot of thought had been put into how it was served and it was lovely. The tables were well spaced out and the staff went to a lot of trouble to explain the hygiene and sanitisation approach so it felt very safe.

Called in as we went to bookshop next door . Lovely clean spacious pub , sort of place that would be my local if I lived in the area . I had the fish and chips and my son had fries . Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive . The haddock was very tasty and the batter was crisp without being greasy big plus was homemade chips and a choice of garden peas or mushy peas. If I’m in area again I’ll return .

Came In for Sunday dinner and was not disappointed. Food was lovely, couldn’t fault it, we had roast lamb and the mixed roast and both were really delicious. Nice staff and friendly pub dog. Would definitely recommend.
