A must see for stained glass admirers
May 2019
This building is the only parish church with a complete set of medieval stained glass and is a must see for anyone with an interest in stained glass and church architecture. Some truly stunning features. Very welcoming.

Beautiful church
Dec 2019 • Family
A beautiful church and courtyard. The stain glass windows are fabulous and the crunch itself is a magnificent building. Even if you’re not religious, it’s a beautiful piece of art and history. Free to look around and lots of information and free audio guide! Amazing! Defiantly worth a visit!

Picked up a book called Harris's guide to churches and cathedrals at a charity shop and have since been trying to find out what he had evidently found out. The windows here are truly remarkable in that they are over 500 years old. They tell the story from the Garden of Eden to the last judgment and do so powerfully. Window 15, the west window, looks quite blue in the guide to the windows purchased at the church but the photos I took, with the sun reasonably low in the sky, magnified the reds. A most pleasant lady was in attendance at the entrance and was prepared to move from her station to let me know some things about the building thereby saving me some time. My wife and friend were at the Swindon Outlet centre and I had driven across having first visited Lydiard Tregoze to see the magnificent St Mary's that is there before returning to fetch them home. I will, no doubt, be bringing both ladies back to this magnificent edifice.

Stopped in Fairford for Lunch. The church is right on the town square. It was a cold day. Church was heated. Many examples of stained glass windows. Volunteer was informative. Well worth seeing.

Lovely old church. Over 600 attended the memorial service in the church on the Sunday and over100 on the Monday outside by the memorial

The best stained glass windows ever
Sep 2019
We were coming back from a wedding in the West Country and took the opportunity to stop in Fairford to visit the church. I'd just read the latest book by John Connelly and the ending was set in the church at Fairford and he mentioned they had the finest medieval stained glass windows in Western Europe. Can't argue that one! The windows depict scenes from the Bible and the largest, which depicts Judgement Day, is astonishing. It is also a very nice church in itself, well worth a visit. And stay in the Bull Hotel (reviewed on its own as it's so good) which is a 5 min walk from the church.

Wonderful church with marvellous windows

I visited twice, once to look around and once for the 8am BCP service. Both were uplifting experiences and the bright sunlight really enhanced the mediaeval stained glass

Unbelievable stained glass windows
Aug 2019 • Couples
There appears to be very few tourists who visit this fantastic church and we were most fortunate that my wife’s cousin took us there. The 28 stained glass windows are among the most beautiful that I have ever seen in churches and cathedrals around the world.

A Prince of Venues???
May 2019 • Family
Visited this venue for a classical music concert by the English Chamber Orchestra attended by HRH Prince Charles.
The music was fantastic.
HRH drove to the venue himself in his 50 year old Aston Martin.
Fantastic evening.
