The newly opened walled garden is a delight for the planting, the walkways, great disabled access the children love playing games on and a lovely exhibition space. Andy Lovells exhibition til Dec 2016 is a gem of local and other further away places. Don't miss it.

This is a lovely venue and now much enhanced by the addition of the garden. Access is really good with plenty of parking a short walk away. There are many items of interest and the series of lectures on local history and subjects are well worth attending.

For a small museum it displays many interesting local artifacts. My grandchildren always enjoy time there as many rooms have interactive games. The staff are friendly and helpful and the whole house is clean and well kept. There is a separate space for exhibitions, not always local artists and during the school holidays they lay on activities for the children.... More

This is a nice Museum in the Park at Stroud and well worth a visit to see the local history. Lots of small rooms and lots of themed exhibits. Gift shop was a little sparse and there were no chilled drinks available (it was a hot day).

A filler for a day that ended up being hotter than forecast, the museum provided a educational couple of hours without being too school centric. Covering the ages from dinosaurs through to modern cricketers, a clearly signed walk with volunteer guides only too willing to engage with you, this is highly recommended. The trees in the grounds leading up to... More

Popped in for a quick look around with my Mum, 3 year old daughter and baby in pram. The museum is set in a modern building leading into an old large house where the exhibitions are. The facilities are good with clean modern toilets. There is disabled access so easy to get around with a pram. There are games to... More

A delightful free museum dedicated to Stroud and the Cotswolds. The exhibits covering the social history of the region are excellent. I particularly enjoyed the recording of Laurie Lee reading an extract from Cider with Rosie set in a reconstructed cottage parlour. To my suprise there was nothing about Strouds contribution to the animated film. Strange as the town is famous... More
