    A Lifetime Experience
We got up at 01:00 a.m. to make a reservation for the Highgrove Garden Tour and Tea, and looking back, it was totally worth it. Check in was easy and then we were treated to a 1.5 hour tour of the garden by a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. We learned a lot not not only about the garden but the King's active involvement in not only defining the garden, but his occasionally dropping by the tour guides and gardeners to give them insight and stories about Highgrove. We enjoyed the tour immensely. Tea on the patio was one of the highlights of our trip to England. A beautiful setting, delicious tea sandwiches and sweets, and first rate, extremely friendly service. England clearly has many fine gardens but none can really match the overall experience that we had at Highgrove. Go if you have the chance.

    Garden lovers delight
The whole garden tour and experience exceeds expectations. The gardens that have been developed from open fields over the years are a wonder to see, and wander through, with exceptionally knowledgeable and entertaining guides. The whole experience of arriving, security, starting and undertaking the tour is so well organised, with a small group size to enable you to make the most of your trip. If you get the chance, this is a memorable experience for garden lovers, and well with the visit.

    100% recommendation
100% recommendation. Greatly enjoyed our 90 mins trip around the garden with Jane Archer today. Lunch was also excellent. The Gardeners Plate & Rhubarb Victoria Sponge were well presented, fresh, with some innovative touches. Thanks to all staff.

    Interesting Tour
Although the weather was overcast , threatening rain, we had a very interesting and informative 90 min tour around these gardens. The layout was spectacular but unfortunately we were too late in the year for some of the more colourful flowers and meadows - timing is everything in visiting gardens. We shall undoubtedly visit again , probably in the spring next time, but as you have to book so far in advance you never know what the weather , or flowerings , are likely to be when you arrive. Our only major disappointment was not being able to take photos for "security reasons" and the cost of items in the newly opened gift shop

    A Father’s Day treat
We came for the Fathers Day lunch. The food was delicious, as was the glass of champagne. There was a demonstration of Panama hat making by Lock & co, a barber shop set up by Truffitt & Hill and a Highgrove shop set up in the ante room. The atmosphere was friendly and delightful. We have been visiting Highgrove gardens for 20 years now and always have a wonderful time. The customer service is second to none. Highly recommended!

    Fabulous tour disappointing afternoon tea
Garden tour with champagne tea. Our garden tour was amazing we thought the gardens were fabulous our tour guide Was very informative and made the experience very interesting. Unfortunately the afternoon tea was a disappointment. Lovely glass of champagne then it went downhill from there ! The 2 finger sandwiches each were not that fresh cream cheese and smoked salmon and very small triangle of coronation chicken, very unpleasant A couple of scones then a very small mixture of pastry and cake. Such a shame after a most tour.

    Outstanding
Visited here as I’m a keen organic gardener and was blown away! The gardens are magnificent, the customer service from the car park, to the tour, to the restaurant to the shop was outstanding! The champagne tea was stunning too. The shop was a little expensive but that didn’t stop me buying a few gifts for myself! Will definitely be back and cannot recommend enough. Thank you Highgrove

    Delightful Private Tour
We enjoyed a delightful private tour with Tracey, who was friendly, engaging and informative, and who further enhanced the beautiful gardens with interesting anecdotes. Everyone we encountered at Highgrove was helpful and friendly, the food in the Orchard Restaurant was delicious, and the newly opened shop definitely worth a visit for mementos and much more. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and one we would repeat in a heartbeat.

I accompanied my wife on a tour of the gardens followed by a Champagne tea. I am not a gardener and frankly expected to bored by the whole experience. Nothing could be further from the truth.
We arrived about half an hour before our tour was due to start. One passes security to get into the grounds and there are friendly people to assist with the welcome and getting to the reception area. A cup of tea or coffee was offered upon checkin.
I will not go into detail of the tour save to say that it was absolutely fascinating even to a non gardener. The thought, care and money that has gone into creating this amazing organic garden is mind blowing. Our guide Maggie was not only knowledgeable but managed to strike just the right blend of gardening expertise, historical facts and anecdotes.
The tour lasts about 2 and a quarter hours and involves about 2 miles of walking.
After the visit tea was taken in the pavilion with a pianist ‘tinkling the ivories’. Tea consisted of a section of finger sandwiches, scones jam and cream and an assortment of small cakes. The was a choice of 8 or so types of tea. A glass of Highgrove branded champagne accompanied the tea. If one had a criticism ( & it’s very minor) - they could have been more generous with the clotted cream.
After tea one could browse in the adjoining shop.
It’s not a cheap afternoon. - tickets were £160 for 2 but it is an experience that will remain with me for a long time.

We visited Highgrove yesterday for our tour. First thing that we noticed was the lovely welcome from the staff. The restaurant service was good too (as was the food) and everyone was genuinely friendly both on the tour and afterwards in the shop. Their attitude was completely genuine and they all seemed to really enjoy their job and the service they gave to us. As for the gardens - they were fabulous. They had a really cosy feel to them as the love that our Prince has for wildlife and greenery shines through so clearly in his garden. A surprise was found round every corner, expertly and tastefully done without being showy or stuffy. Its quirkiness and clever design was so hugely inspiring and the fact that it’s all organic is something we could all aspire to. All in all a really enjoyable and informative day. Thanks also to our guide Rob who was full of interesting information, stories and amusing anecdotes. Thank you to each and every one of you. We shall be back!

We can thoroughly recommend this trip which all 52 of us enjoyed so much to day!
We arrived at Highgrove at 11am and were soon shown into the dining room for a pre chosen lunch which was delicious!
After lunch we went in two groups around the garden with an excellent guide who could not do enough to make our day enjoyable and informative...she knew everything we asked and much more but put it all over in an easy manner which we all found superb!!
If you would like a trip somewhere packed with interest ,lovely plants and brimming with every colour ...join a group to Highgrove ...it is well worth it!!
A big thank you to Prince Charles and Camilla for allowing us to enjoy the gardens they so love and a huge thank you to our splendid guides!!

What a wonderful experience from the 2 hour guided tour full of information about the gardens and HRH Prince of Wales to the shop and lastly the wonderful restaurant.
The restaurant which has locally produced very fresh and delicous products not over priced. Their are many portraits and paintings by HRH Prince of Wales to be seen hanging around the walls.

We booked the tour of the garden in May months in advance. Stayed at The Hare and Hounds which was a delight and very convenient for visiting the garden. Sadly it was raining BUT it didn’t spoil our tour as much as I thought it would. Not only is the garden enchanting (you don’t know what you are going to discover next) but the works of art that are strategically placed amongst the flower beds are just as much as fascinating as the gardens themselves, Would love to visit again in a different season - whatever time of year there would be something of interest.

It was the last two tickets of the month on the booking calendar so there must have been many visitors this month.
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to go and after being there, more so.
The garden is very interesting, the tour well planned with an outstanding guide. We very much enjoyed the film that is shown of Prince Charles welcoming us to his home. It was so sincere and gave life to the home.
The shop is an excellent place to buy gifts and I was delighted when we got home to served tea in a beautiful china mug by my husband. A very sweet reminder of a special summers day. By the way, the sun was shining and it was 78 degrees.

Directions accurate, security straightforward (don't forget photo ID), parking simple, welcome warm and genuine (arrive early for tea and biscuits on the terrace). The tour guide is friendly, amenable and knowledgeable and has many personal anecdotes of the garden ( thanks Jinny). No recording devices allowed at all but be prepared for a professional photographer offering a picture of you with the house in the background. Unhurried tea to follow with charming waiting staff. Traditional exit through the gift shop (slightly smaller than the tetbury shop). Overall, a great afternoon experience.

We had been wanting to come for a long time and as former RHS members we were a little overwhelmed. It costs twice as much as a trip to Wisley and whilst the gardens are beautiful there didn’t seem to be the same diversity of planting. A great day out of you enjoy stately homes, perhaps less so for the keen gardener. Cakes in coffee shop were amazing.

This is an organic garden and is maintained as such too, gone are the neat borders, straight lines and regimented shrubbery, this is a back to nature approach and as such it was a totally refreshing experience, a must see...
